CLEARY O. BUCKLEY
Cleary O. Buckley is a registered architect with over 20 years’ experience and LEED accreditation. After receiving a master’s degree from Rice University, Cleary moved to Boston, MA, where he worked on projects with a wide range of scales and budgets. Among these were numerous laboratory and health care designs that required knowledge of specialized systems and particular attention to detail to keep these systems organized, efficient, and consistent with the architecture.
“My philosophy begins with a belief that the design process requires listening skills to understand the client’s goals and aspirations, discipline to give these goals precedence as other requirements come into play, and an ability to communicate clearly throughout the design and building phases to ensure that everyone on the team pulls in the same direction.”
Cleary has a proven track record of successfully managing complicated design challenges, budgets, and schedules to produce built work that is elegant and appropriate. Prior to forming the Smith/Buckley partnership, Cleary was a sole practitioner, completing numerous small scale residential designs, and providing accessibility consulting.
